Day 1: arrive Yangon in morning and transfer to hotel; all day tour of Yangon including the National Museum, the Gems Museum and the famous Shwedagon Pagoda. In the evening dinner with magnificent cultural show at Karaweik floating restaurant on Kandawgyi Lake

Day 2: in the morning drive to Bago (Pegu) - on the way visit the Taukkyan War Memortial which pays tribute to 27,000 allied soldiers who perished during World War 2. After lunch in Bago continue to the Golden Rock Pagoda in the mountains. Overnight Kyaiktiyo.

Day 3: morning visit the famous Golden Rock Pagoda and then drive to Bago. Visit the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha (circa 994 AD) measuring 55 metres long; the Shwemawdaw Paya towering 114 metres; the Mahazedi Paya originally built by King Bayinnaung, subsequently destroyed by an earthquake in 1930 and finally rebuilt in 1982; the Kaik Pun Paya built in 1476 and where stand four 30-metre high Buddha Images. Overnight Bago.

Day 4: early morning depart for Pyay (Prome) and on the way visit the Shwemyetman Paya. Afternoon visit Sri Ksetra the ancient city of the Pyu peoples dating back to at least the 5th century AD. Overnight Pyay

Day 5: in the morning depart for Bagan by road ~ Bagan can be called one of the Wonders of the World having over 2,000 Pagodas dating back to the eleventh century. Overnight Bagan

Day 6: all day tour of Bagan including visits to Nyaung-U market; Shwezigon Paya which was started by King Anawrahta and completed by King Kyansittha; Kyansittha Umin Paya built into a cliff face; Gubyaukgyi Paya in Wetgyi Inn Village built in the 13th century and with fine stuccowork on the exterior walls; Htilominlo temple from 12th century and Upali Thein Ordination Hall named after a famous Monk called Upali. Afternoon visit the Bagan Museum; Gawdawpalin Pahto one of the largest of Bagan's Temples; Ananda Patho with four 9.5 meter Buddha Images and four 10.6 meter high teakwood gates; lacquerware workshops; and see the sunset from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Paya which was the first Stupa built in Myanmar. Day 7: all day tour of Bagan; morning visit the famous Izagonna temple famous for paintings and from where you can see a panoramic view of the Bagan area; Toyoke Pay temple (13th century); Payathonzu temple which is famous for mural paintings from the 13th century. Also visit Phwasaw village, Dhamarazika Stupa (12th century) the largest Pentagonal Stupa in Bagan. After lunch visit Manuha Temple (end of 11th century) and Nanphaya Temple dating from the early 12th century to see one of the best stone carvings of Hindugod Bramin; Gubyauk gyi Temple (early 12 century) in Myinkapar village which was preserved by UNESCO about 20 years ago and which has beautiful colourful paintings; Mingalar Zedi the last of the Payas to be built before the decline of the Bagan Era; Dhamayangyi Temple; Shwegugyi temple from 12th century. Late afternoon take a sunset cruise by from boat from Pyathatgyi Temple. Overnight Bagan

Day 8: depart Bagan in morning for the drive through the beautiful dry zone to Mandalay via Mount Popa, home of the Nats, and Myingyan; see U Bein bridge, the longest teakwood bridge in the world, before arriving in Mandalay. Overnight Mandalay

Day 9: all day Mandalay and district: morning visit the Maha Muni Pagoda; stone carving, wood carving and tapestry workshops, a silk weaving factory in Amarapura and Sagaing Hill. In the afternoon take a short boat ride to Innwa ("Ava") and then a buggy to visit this old Capital. Overnight Mandalay

Day 10: morning take a leisurely boat ride across the Ayeyawady to Mingun and see the world's largest ringing bell cast in 1808, the massive unfinished Mingun Paya and the wonderful Mingun Buddhist Home for the Aged founded in 1915; then on to the Mya Thein Dan Zedi before returning to Mandalay. In the afternoon visit the Mandalay Palace, the World's biggest book and Hman Kyaung ("Glass Hall Monastery"). Evening see the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight Mandalay

Day 11: drive to Inle Lake via beautiful unspoilt countryside via Myogyi, Ywangban and Aungban. Overnight hotel on lake

Day 12: all day tour of Inle Lake. Visit Nam Pan Market; In Paw Khone Village the floating gardens; the famous Nga Phe Kyaung or "Jumping Cat" Monastery; Ywama Viilage to see the silversmiths, goldsmiths and weaving workshops and Phaung Daw U Kyaung, the holiest religious site in the Southern Shan State. Overnight hotel on lake

Day 13: drive to Kalaw and then on to the famous Pindaya Caves with over 8,000 Buddha Images. Overnight Pindaya

Day 14: morning depart Pindaya for Heho airport for flight to Yangon. On the way to your hotel in Yangon visit the White Elephants at Min-Da-Ma hill, and Kyauk-Taw-Gyi Pagoda which houses the largest marble Buddha Image in Myanmar. After checking in to the hotel visit the famous Bogyoke (Scotts) Market for shopping and in the late afternoon visit the Botatuang Paya on the Yangon River. Overnight Yangon

Day 15: morning visit the Bo-Ka-Lay Market and the Myanmar Gallery of Contemporary Arts; afternoon free-and-easy; international departures
