Day 1: arrive Yangon in morning followed by all day tour of Yangon including the National Museum, the Gems Museum and the famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight Yangon Day 2: morning visit the National Races Village and Thanlyin Island. In the afternoon board your train for Pyay. Overnight Pyay Day 3: today visit the Shwemyetman Paya in Shwedaung and the 5th century Pyu monuments at Sri Ksetra. Overnight Pyay Day 4: morning all day sightseeing in Pyay including a river trip to see the many Buddha Images carved into the tall bank of the Ayeyawaddy River. At 22:00 board your overnight train to Bagan Day 5: arrive Bagan at 10:00 followed by all day tour of Bagan including visits to Nyaung-U market; Shwezigon Paya which was started by King Anawrahta and completed by King Kyansittha; Kyansittha Umin Paya built into a cliff face; Gubyaukgyi Paya in Wetgyi Inn Village built in the 13th century and with fine stuccowork on the exterior walls; Htilominlo temple from 12th century and Upali Thein Ordination Hall named after a famous Monk called Upali. Afternoon visit the Bagan Museum; Gawdawpalin Pahto one of the largest of Bagan's Temples; Ananda Patho with four 9.5 meter Buddha Images and four 10.6 meter high teakwood gates; lacquerware workshops; and see the sunset from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Paya which was the first Stupa built in Myanmar. Overnight Bagan Day 6: morning depart Bagan for Mandalay by train through the beautiful dry zone. Arrive Mandalay at 15:30 and visit Mandalay's handicraft shops. Overnight Mandalay Day 7: all day touring Mandalay, Amarapura, Sagaing and Innwa. Overnight Mandalay Day 8: morning take a boat-ride across the Ayeyawady River to Mingun to see the world's largest ringing bell and the Mingun Temple. Afternoon join your train for the overnight service to Yangon Day 9: morning arrive Yangon and free and easy for shopping. International departures
