Day 1: arrive Yangon in morning and transfer to hotel; afternoon visits include the Gems Museum, the Myanmar Gallery of Contemporary Arts and the Shwedagon Pagoda. In the evening dinner with magnificent cultural show at Karaweik floating restaurant on Kandawgyi Lake

Day 2: tour of Yangon visiting the Bo-Ka-Lay Market, the famous Scotts Market and the National Museum. Also visit the White Elephants at Min-Da-Ma hill, and Kyauk-Taw-Gyi Pagoda which houses the largest marble Buddha Image in Myanmar. In the late afternoon visit the Botatuang Paya on the Yangon River

Day 3: in the morning drive to Kyaiktiyo via Bago (Pegu) - on the way visit the Taukkyan War Memortial which pays tribute to 27,000 allied soldiers who perished during World War 2. In Bago visit the Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha ( circa 994 AD)measuring 55 metres long and the Shwemawdaw Paya towering 114 metres, After lunch continue to Kyaiktiyo and visit the Golden Rock Pagoda in the mountains. Overnight Kyaiktiyo

Day 4: morning drive to Moeyungyi Nature reserve via Bago. In Bago visit the Mahazedi Paya originally built by King Bayinnaung, subsequently destroyed by an earthquake in 1930 and finally rebuilt in 1982; the Kaik Pun Paya built in 1476 and where stand four 30-metre high Buddha Images. After lunch continue on to Moeyungyi Nature Reserve and tour the reserve by boat. Dinner and overnight at Moeyungyi Resort Hotel

Day 5: morning drive back to Yangon and visit the Native People's museum followed by Scott's Market for shopping. Overnight Yangon

Day 6:
depart for Bagan early morning followed by all day tour of Bagan including visits to Nyaung-U market; Shwezigon Paya which was started by King Anawrahta and completed by King Kyansittha; Kyansittha Umin Paya built into a cliff face; Gubyaukgyi Paya in Wetgyi Inn Village built in the 13th century and with fine stuccowork on the exterior walls; Htilominlo temple from 12th century and Upali Thein Ordination Hall named after a famous Monk called Upali. Afternoon visit the Bagan Museum; Gawdawpalin Pahto one of the largest of Bagan's Temples; Ananda Patho with four 9.5 meter Buddha Images and four 10.6 meter high teakwood gates; lacquerware workshops; and see the sunset from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Paya which was the first Stupa built in Myanmar. Overnight Bagan

Day 7: all day tour of Bagan; morning visit the famous Izagonna temple famous for paintings and from where you can see a panoramic view of the Bagan area; Toyoke Pay temple (13th century); Payathonzu temple which is famous for mural paintings from the 13th century. Also visit Phwasaw village, Dhamarazika Stupa (12th century) the largest Pentagonal Stupa in Bagan. After lunch visit Manuha Temple (end of 11th century) and Nanphaya Temple dating from the early 12th century to see one of the best stone carvings of Hindugod Bramin; Gubyauk gyi Temple (early 12 century) in Myinkapar village which was preserved by UNESCO about 20 years ago and which has beautiful colourful paintings; Mingalar Zedi the last of the Payas to be built before the decline of the Bagan Era; Dhamayangyi Temple; Shwegugyi temple from 12th century. Late afternoon take a sunset cruise by from boat from Pyathatgyi Temple. Overnight Bagan

Day 8: morning drive to Mount Popa - the home of the Nats and a Nature reserve; on the way visit Sale and the Yoke Soe Monastery museum and Sasannayaunggyi Monastery to see the Monk's library and the largest lacquerware Buddha Image. If you feel energetic you can climb the 777 stairs to the Pagoda at the top of the volcanic "plug" in Mount Popa for a very panoramic view of the area. Overnight Popa Mountain Resort

Day 9: depart Mount Popa in morning for the drive through the beautiful dry zone to Mandalay via Myingyan; en-route see the Snake Pagoda and the sunset at U Bein bridge, the longest teakwood bridge in the world. Overnight Mandalay.

Day 10: all day Mandalay and district: morning visit the Maha Muni Pagoda; stone carving, wood carving and tapestry workshops, a silk weaving factory in Amarapura and marvel at the magnificent Pagodas in Sagaing Hill. In the afternoon take a short boat ride to Innwa ("Ava") and then a buggy to visit this old Capital. Overnight Mandalay

Day 11: morning take a leisurely boat ride across the Ayeyawady to Mingun and see the world's largest ringing bell cast in 1808, the massive unfinished Mingun Paya and the wonderful Mingun Buddhist Home for the Aged founded in 1915; then on to the Mya Thein Dan Zedi before returning to Mandalay. In the afternoon visit the Mandalay Palace, the World's biggest book and Hman Kyaung ("Glass Hall Monastery") Evening see the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight Mandalay

Day 12: travel by car to Pyin Oo Lwin in the cool mountains above Mandalay and all day tour Pyin Oo Lwin including a visit to Myanmar's Botanical Gardens. Overnight Pyin Oo Lwin

Day 13: all day touring and relaxing in Pyin Oo Lwin and district. Overnight Pyin Oo Lwin

Day 14: morning depart Pyin Oo Lwin for Mandalay airport for your flight to Inle Lake; In the afternoon take a boat ride on Inle Lake and visit Ywama Viilage, silversmiths, goldsmiths, weaving workshops and Phaung Daw U Kyaung, the holiest religious site in the Southern Shan State. Overnight Inle Lake.

Day 15: morning visit Nam Pan Market, In Paw Khone Village the floating gardens and the famous Nga Phe Kyaung or " Jumping Cat" Monastery. Afternoon relax on the lake. Overnight Inle Lake.

Day 16: travel by car to Kalaw and then on to the famous Pindaya Caves with over 8,000 Buddha Images. Overnight Pindaya

Day 17: morning depart Pindaya for Mandalay airport by land via Ywangban, Myogyi and Kyaukse through the most magnificent scenery including the Than O Chow nature reserve . In late afternoon fly to Yangon and overnight at Yangon hotel. Note: this route only available October to March

Day 18: morning drive to Pyay (Prome) and on the way visit the Shwemyetman Paya. Afternoon visit Sri Ksetra the ancient city of the Pyu peoples dating back to at least the 5th century AD. Overnight Pyay

Day 19: early morning take a boat ride to Akaunt Taung to
see the hundreds of Buddha images carved into the riverbank. Afternoon drive back to Yangon. Overnight Yangon
